Product design and development, drawing preparation & submittal, technical support, and direct access to their experience, knowledge, and skill are freely given. Castings and fabricated products are fully engineered to meet the customer’s specifications. The engineering staff is involved in all stages of product development and manufacture to reduce the time required to finalize design and proceed with production. |
U.S. Foundry has assembled a talented group of pattern makers capable of handling all its tooling needs. The Pattern Shop manufacturing methods run the gamut from traditional woodworking to state-of-the-art computer aided design and computer integrated manufacturing. These tools are used for developing modern and intricate castings, and can substantially reduce the lead-time of pattern manufacture.
The company’s facility is specifically designed for making products for the municipal construction industry. The state-of-the-art molding centers allow each type product to be cast in the best process for both large and small batch production. Iron is melted in an environmentally friendly, computer controlled cupola melting furnace which allows for the use of 100% recycled metals.
Hundreds of tons of iron and steel scrap material produce thousands of castings every day. All castings, whether produced on one of their fully automated lines or manually crafted, go through a meticulous finishing process that culminates in a quality product that meets or exceeds specifications. Steel and aluminum fabricated products are manufactured by a related company in the family’s domain of business enterprises. In 1996 the Fabrication Division of U.S. Foundry became an independent company, U.S.F. Fabrication, Inc. and relocated to a modern facility in Hialeah, Florida (now, with a second location in Ogden, Utah). U.S.F. Fabrication manufactures on 4 production lines—aluminum, miscellaneous steel, grating and rolling. Products include floor access doors, frames and covers, drainage grates, pump station accessories (hoists, ladders, brackets, etc.), and custom metal fabrication (stairs, slide gates, tree guards, etc.).
